Occasionally, I need to take a break from editing virtual tours on my computer and take on some manual labor. Mainly to get my head out of cyber-space and also to get some much needed exercise.
This week, my extracurricular project was to help Basel Cellars Estate Winery in Walla Walla pack and ship out their Basel Cellars wine club member orders.
Although the task of making boxes, packaging bottles of fine wine into them, sorting through endless invoices and shipping labels and getting all those boxes of liquid gold out the door for UPS seems like a monotonous task, I have come to appreciate the focus needed just to make sure clients receive exactly what they have ordered.
Working at Basel Cellars Winery is a great way for me to observe the day to day operations of one of my winery virtual tour clients which helps me provide a better virtual tour experience for them.
What many of you may not know, my virtual tour process does not stop with the mere production of a cool virtual tour that is attached to your website. As your business changes, your virtual tour should change along with it so that you can always provide fresh content to your website.
Our virtual tours are designed so that it is quite an easy process for us to upload new images and make changes to the live tour.
When I get to hang out for several days at one of my clients businesses like Basel Cellars Estate Winery in Walla Walla I can gain a unique insight to what their customers like to see.
Next week I will be updating the Basel Cellars Virtual Tour to include panoramic photographs of more activity around the winery, include some great photographs of their annual Basel Cellars Wine Stomp pool party reserved for their wine club members and add some colorful spring time and summer scenes from the winery.
Providing a value that goes beyond taking a lot of pretty pictures and helps a business grow through internet marketing is what keeps wineries, retirement communities and real estate agents calling us to help them with their online marketing presence.
